The second house in the family of holiday homes is Kaménka8, originally the house of a farming family whose cows, horses and beautifully cultivated grasslands can be seen all around. We were honored to be entrusted with this place, just 200 meters from the brick house. 12,000 m² of privacy, 4 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, hall, conservatory, two bathrooms with a toilet.

Kaménka8 is the biggest of the homes and sites and easily accommodates three or four families of friends. Like Horka89, both places can also handle a summer camp for children from an orphanage or a school expedition for teenagers. There's plenty of room everywhere, and in the summer a glamping teepee is built in the garden to extend the capacity by 6-8 people. Throughout your trip you can explore the land adjacent to the house, around the barn and under the stables.
Natural Zoo
At Kaménka8 you will be inspired to download a bird singing recognition app, because the bird cacophony is being broadcast here from morning till night. Our neighbor farmer's horses and cows will be greeting you throughout the day. There is a small farm next door and after dark the deer, wild boars, foxes and wild cats come out. So you might as well leave the animal books at home :)
The Legacy
In the lobby, we paid homage to the previous owners, the farmers in the area who passed the house on to us. They spent 20 years here, raised their children and grandchildren, and that's not an easy task. Semi-timbered houses are typical of the area, although this one retained only part of the timbering and a solid brick house was built into it. We're shy to touch the house yet, so we'll let it get used to us in a POP-UP regime and see how it turns out.
The previous owners also left us a tiny porcelain cross they found bricked up in the sitting room. It used to be a tradition to protect the property and its inhabitants.
The table is the base
Kaménka8 will surprise you with its internal generosity. A separate kitchen with a large table is the heart of the house, the meeting point, the base. Large groups and families are comfortable here, lots of children can easily spread around the space. One gets used to the space quickly - be it inside or outside the house.
POP-UP cuvée
Although the house is still in POP-UP status and a major renovation is still to come, it already has its die-hard fans. Like Horka89, Kaménka8 doesn't aspire to be a fancy lodge, so there are oddities from our collection leaning against the walls, every plate is different, some of the furnishings are an experiment, and we couldn't help but bring a piece of the city into the rustic building.
